BEFORE TURNING
THE MACHINE ON
Daily check that all the covers and pro-
tection guards, particularly the guard
protecting the band-saw blade are posi-
tionedcorrectly and held firmly in place
by the screws.
Make sure that the safety microswit-
ches, if there are any, are working cor-
rectly by pressing the relative device or
by opening a door during an idle cycle
and checking if the machine stops.
OPERATION AND USE
– Turn the machine ON by turning the
handle on the switch (I1) clockwise.
The warning light (L1) turns on.
– Place the piece which is to be cut
on the revolving disk (2) and the
supporting arm (3).
– Pressthe workpieceagainst the bar
stop (4) which has been correctly
adjusted.
– Bring the vice carriage near the
workpiece using the handwheel (5)
until the vice jaw is 2-3mm away
from the workpiece. Lock the work-
piece by means of the quick-clam-
ping lever (6).
– Set the cutting speed bearing in
mind the material which is to be cut.
See the chart (7).
N.B.: The speed must be adjusted
only with the blade on.
– Check the cutting speed set on the
graduated scale (8) and if neces-
sary adjust it with the machine ON
using the handwheel (9).
– Grasp the handgrip (10) and press
the F1 push button to star t the
blade moving.
– Adjust the coolant flow using the tap
(11).
– Push the head downwards to start
the cut.
– Check ampere meter (A1) and
lmake sure that motor absorption
does not exceed 4 ampere for
380-50V, 5.5 ampere for 220-60V
and 6.5 ampere for 220-50V.
– If the blade remains embedded in
the workpiece, stop the machine by
removing the finger on the handgrip
push button and then:
● Turn the handle of the main swit-
ch completely clockwise to invert
the blade rotation direction.
● Press the push button on the
handgrip and simultaneously
push the lever upwards to free the
blade.
WARNING!
Check sawblade correctly fitted for
chosen direction of rotation.
