When you are unable to answer a call (ie: your handset is out of range,

Recording a Message to Answer Phone
Record a caller's message to your handset when you are unable to answer a
voice call. Save up to five 30-second messages to Answer Phone.

Press and hold L when a call is received

Outgoing message plays and recording starts.
When recording capacity becomes full or the call ends, it stops
