  • Page 2 Intended Use: A digital thermometer is a device used to measure the body temperature of a patient by means of a transducer coupled with an electric signal amplification, conditioning, and display unit. Safety Information: • High, prolonged fever requires medical attention especially for young children. Please contact your physician.
  • Page 3 Please Note: Oral use: (for children 4 years and older) Do not drink hot or cold fluids, exercise or perform other activities that will raise or lower temperature readings when compared to your normal, average temperature. The mouth should remain closed and sit still to help ensure an accurate measurement. Place the probe tip well under the tongue as indicated (Figure 2).
  • Page 4 Turn the unit OFF, wait 1 minute and then turn ON again. Retake temperature using proper technique while ensuring normal room temperature (between 73°F - 77°F / 23°C - 25°C). If unit still reads LO, this indicates that the patient has low body temperature. WARNING! A low body temperature requires immediate medical attention.

To install/replace, first switch OFF the device: Remove the battery cover by sliding it up. Press the latch holding the battery to remove it from the housing.
