Notes for the installer

The washer-extractor must be installed by
an approved service technician or an au-
thorized Service Dealer.
Installation
A concrete floor is the most suitable installa-
tion surface.
Please note:
^ The machine must be level and securely
positioned.
^ Do not install the machine on a 'soft' base
such as floorboards as this could result in
more vibration during the spin cycles.
^ If the machine is installed on a raised
plinth it should be secured using the butt
straps supplied with the machine.
If there is not already a concrete plinth
on-site, the Miele Spare Parts department of-
fer a steel plinth. It must be ensured that the
steel plinth is secured to the floor, (see the
enclosed installation plan).
To avoid the possibility of frost damage on
no account install the machine in a room
which is exposed to frost.
Do not install the machine on carpeted floor-
ing if the carpet pile blocks the ventilation
gap at the base of the machine.

When the machine has been installed in its
final position, only then remove the red tran-
