3.2 Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 installation
The literature below shows an XC-235 device in Vista and Windows Server 2008 as an example. The
same installation steps can be applied to all other products in the XC range.
1. Insert the XC CD in to your laptop.
2. Insert the XC-235 in to an available ExpressCard slot on your laptop.
3. The Found New Hardware Wizard will come up. If your computer is set to check Windows
Update Automatically for a driver, then it could take longer for this screen to pop up.
4. Select 'Locate and install driver software'.
5. NB - Vista will enter the Security Check to ensure that you have initiated the installation (and
not some malicious program). Click Continue
