PASSENGER SENSING
SYSTEM
Your vehicle is equipped with the
Passenger Sensing System.
Vehicles equipped with this system
will have a label on the sun visors
that refers to ADVANCED
AIRBAGS (advanced air bags).
The passenger sensing system
turns off the right front
passenger's frontal air bag
under certain conditions.
NOTE:
The driver's frontal and seat-
mounted side-impact air bags
and the roof-mounted side-
impact air bags are not part of
this system.
When you start the vehicle, the
system will perform a self-check.
The air bag "on" and "off"
indicators will appear briefly in
the passenger sensing system
status bar (located on the
overhead console).
When the system self-check is
complete, one of the indicators
will stay on to indicate whether the
right front passenger's frontal air
bag is on or off.
