OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
I OPERATION
A bench grinder is designed for hand grinding operations such as
sharpening chisels, screwdrivers, drill
-bits,
removing excess metal,
and smoothing metal surfaces.
A Medium Grain Abrasive Grinding Wheel...is suitable for rough grinding
where a considerable amount of metal must be removed
or when obtaining a smooth finish is not important.
A Fine Grain Abrasive Grinding wheer...shourd be used for sharpening toors
or grinding to close size torerances because it removes metal more gridually
for precision grinding and gives work a smooth finish.
I MOUNTING THE GRINDER
(See FIGURE l)
To prevent grinder from movtng during
operation it should be securely mounted
to a work bench or grinding st-and.
1. Align mounting holes on grinder
with holes in bench or stand.
2. lnsert bolt through holes and tighten,
ustng wasner, nut (not incl.)
