Adjustment on rear wheel

The damping of the Air Damping
System can be adjusted to the
40
road condition in two settings.
The adjusting screw can be
turned in both directions without
limitation.
Adjusting damping on rear
wheel
Make sure ground is level and
firm and park motorcycle.

Turn adjusting screw 1 into
horizontal position.
Hard damping, adjustment
screw engages.
Turn adjusting screw 1 into
vertical position.
Soft damping, adjustment
screw engages.

Tires

Checking tire pressure
Make sure ground is level and
firm and park motorcycle.
Incorrect tire inflation pres-
sure results in poorer hand-
ing characteristics of the motor-
cycle and reduces the life of the

tires.

Ensure proper tire inflation
pressure.
At high road speeds, tire
valves have a tendency to
open as a result of centrifugal
force.
Fit metal valve caps with rubber
seals and screw them on firmly
to prevent sudden deflation.
Check tire pressures against
the data below.
Tire pressure, front
26.1 psi (1.8 bar) (Single rid-
er, with cold tire)
27.6 psi (1.9 bar) (Driver with
passenger and/or load, with
cold tire)
Tire pressure, rear
29 psi (2 bar) (Single rider,
with cold tire)
31.9 psi (2.2 bar) (Driver with
passenger and/or load, with
cold tire)
If tire pressure is too low:
Correct tire pressure.
