Tighten axle clamping screw 4
with specified torque.
Front axle clamping

7 lb/ft (10 Nm)
With OE BMW Motorrad ABS:
Mount ABS sensor in hold-
er and install screw 1 of ABS
sensor.
Remove auxiliary stand.
Firmly actuate brake lever sev-
eral times to lay brake pads on
brake disk.
Removing rear wheel
Place motorcycle on a suitable
auxiliary stand. BMW Motorrad
recommends the BMW Motor-
rad auxiliary stand.
Mounting auxiliary stand

Remove screws 1 and pull cov-
er 2 downward somewhat.
