Finishing/Stapling
When the finisher (optional) is installed, you can perform automatic stapling for every set.
Three staple positions can be selected when installing the saddle-stitch finisher (MJ-1025).
The paper weight should be in the range of 17-28 lb. for the saddle-stitch finisher
(MJ-1025) and 17-28 lb. Bond for the single-staple finisher (MJ-1022). Special paper
such as OHP films or labels is excluded.
Stapling will not work when copied paper of different widths are mixed.
Example of selecting the FRONT STAPLE-1 button
1. Place paper in the drawer(s). When using this mode in
bypass copying, be sure to specify the paper size.
2. Place the original(s).

Press the Finisher button on the Basic menu as shown
in the illustration on the right (highlighted).
4. Press the FRONT STAPLE-1 (or DOUBLE STAPLE,
REAR STAPLE) button. Only the FRONT STAPLE-1
button is available when installing the single-staple finisher
(MJ-1022). Select other copy modes as required.
5. Press the START button.
TIP: If the paper quantity exceeds the maximum number of
sheets that can be stapled, the finisher automatically enters
the sort mode.
