SAFETY GIAMPY SAFETY DEVICES This machine is provided of the following safety systems. Electric plug (picture 3.1), used similarly for the battery charger. In case of emergency, it can be kept away from the plug acting on the handle. Before using the machine, the operator must know the safety system use, in such a way as in case of necessity it can act automatically. -

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STARTING AND USE GIAMPY INSTRUCTIONS FOR STARTING AND USE 4.1. TRANSPORT AND HANDLING This autoscrubber is delivered to the purchaser in a special package, which features are well showed in picture 4.1, completely assembled. The package shows the barycentre position indicated with a black arrow. The forks of the truck or transpallet must be placed in such a way as the black arrow is at the center of them. -

CONTROL DEVICES GIAMPY 4.6. CONTROL DEVICES 4.6.1. CONTROL BRIDGE (ELECTRIC VERSION) The control bridge is set up with some interrupters that start/stop every function of the machine. Every interrupters has a pictogram showing, without errors, related functions. In picture 4.6 is showed the control bridge, while the schedule shows every switch functioning. - Page 23 CONTROL DEVICES GIAMPY 4.6.1. FUNCTIONING The scrubbing operation is too delicate being necessary, by experience, to value correctly the kind of brush to be used, the necessity or not for a double scrubbing action, the better choice of the detergent. if floors are too dirty, we recommend a double scrubbing action.
- Page 25 FUNCTIONING GIAMPY 4.7.2 CHOISE OF DETERGENT For a good floor cleaning is necessary to use the right detergent, not aggressive and so damaging. It’s suitable to use a controlled foam detergent, or an additive antifoam, to avoid damages to the suction motor, whether not possible to get these products, to avoid foam, it’s easy to use some normal vinegar, pouring a quantity of 50 cc inside the recovery tank before scrubbing.
- Page 26 FUNCTIONING GIAMPY .7.4 RUDDER PEDALS FUNCTIONS This machine is equipped with different levers and pedals: traction drive lever (part 1 Figure 4.9). The machine has a red switch for forward and reverse lid placed on top of the handle, before you pull the lever to pay attention to the positioning of the switch. The lifting brush lever activates all the moving parts of the machine.
- Page 27 FUNCTIONING GIAMPY 4.7.5 REGULATION OF THE DETERGENT SOLUTION The quantity of detergent solution during the scrubbing operation can be easily regulated by a lever placed in the back-left side of the machine (picture 4.10 particular 1) PICTURE N° 4.10 N.B.: if it is necessary to set the regulation of water quantity make sure that the ignition key is disconnected to avoid casual starting.

FUNCTIONING GIAMPY 4.7.7 WATER DISCHARGE This autoscrubber machine is equipped with two water discharge pipes (picture 4.15): solution tank drain hose (particular 1 picture 4.13) suction pipe (particular 2 picture 4.12). Moreover the machine is complete with a flexible pipe (detail 3 picture 4.13) which sucks the dirty water and a porthole cleaning inspection of the tank solution (detail 4.13). -

FUNCTIONING GIAMPY 4.7.8 BRUSH REPLACEMENT With one brush version To substitute the brushes do as it follows: Remove the ignition key to avoid casual starting. Empty both recoveries of the machine. Lift up the machine. Release the brushes pulling them to the bottom. To insert a new brush is necessary to place it underneath the plate, then pushing it on. - Page 30 FUNCTIONING GIAMPY Cylindrical brushes version The operator has to follow the instructions below to replace the brushes: Take the ignition key away from the dashboard in order to avoid a casual starting of the machine; Remove the protective cover (detail 1 in picture 4.17) plate by unscrewing the three screws detail 2 in picture 4.17).

FUNCTIONING GIAMPY BRUSHES BELT REGULATION AND REPLACEMENT Take the ignition key away from the dashboard in order to avoid a casual starting of the machine; Uscrew the four screws and remove the plastic case (detail 1 in picture 4.20); Tighten the nut of the belt (detail 2 in picture 4.20) fixed on the eye in order to increase the spring strength which regulates the belt (see detail 3 in picture 4.20);... - Page 32 FUNCTIONING GIAMPY 4.7.10 BRUSH PRESSURE REGULATION When the machine is scrubbing, it is possible to adjust the brush height from the ground, in order to vary its pressure on the floor. Rotating the knob anti-clockwise (particular 1 fig. 4.22) the pressure increases. Rotating it clockwise the pressure decreases.

MAINTENANCE GIAMPY 5. MAINTENANCE 5.1. MAINTENANCE TABLE To keep a good efficiency of this autoscrubber machine and grant a good reliability during the warranty period, is essential to keep a periodic maintenance using the table reported in this manual. • Authorized personnel only can service this machine, particularly for electrical and electromechanical parts using suitable tools and equipment for every intervention •... - Page 34 MAINTENANCE GIAMPY 5.2.1 HYDROMETRY Hydrometry can be made with batteries under charge with a densimeter. Do as it follows : Put the gun densimeter and take a quantity of electrolyte sufficient to push up the floating; Keep care the top of it doesn’t touch the rubber or the glass walls. For a measure of density, after filling up with distilled water, density has to be uniform in the box.

MAINTENANCE GIAMPY MAINTENANCE OF SUCTION MOTOR The suction motor must be efficient and cleaned. Every six months check the brushes and if necessary replace them . Maintenance of suction motor needs the following operations : eeeping away the key from the dashboard release the motor hooks and disconnect the plug. epty the recovery tank. - Page 36 MAINTENANCE GIAMPY 5.3 ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT CHECKING The electrical system must be checked every two years. Possible defects, such as connections off and burnt cables, must be suddenly replaced. All intervention on the electrical system must be done by a technician. All maintenance or repair out of the ordinary maintenance must be done with personnel authorized only by FIORENTINI.
