8.0 - REPLACEMENT oF MoToR BELT

Tools Needed:
• Phillips Screwdriver
• Flathead Screwdriver
NOTE: If using a powered driver, it must be on the
"LOW TORQUE" setting, otherwise it will strip
screws.
AS LoNG AS THE TREADCLIMBER
MACHINE IS PLuGGED INTo A PoWERED ouTLET
AND THE PoWER SWITCH IS oN, THE uNIT IS
RECEIvING PoWER, EvEN IF THE DISPLAY IS
TuRNED oFF. ALWAYS uNPLuG THE PoWER CoRD
FRoM THE ouTLET AND WAIT 5-MINuTES BEFoRE
PERFoRMING REPAIRS oR MAINTENANCE.
8-1 Unplug machine from wall outlet.
8-2 Wait 5-minutes after unplugging machine to ensure
there is no residual power.
8-3 Remove rear step plastic cover (8 screws), right and
left rear base plastic covers (3 screws each), and
rear base plastic cover (5 screws). See Figures 1 & 2.
8-4 Remove rear step cover (4 screws). See Figure 3.
8-5 Remove black hardware plugs in treadle plastic
covers with a Flathead screwdriver. Remove left and
right cast covers (2 screws each). See Figure 4.
NOTE: Before removing cast covers, you may need
to loosen the first screw on the upper treadle
plastic cover to get the cast cover off.
8-6 Loosen the motor tension bolt with 1/2 inch wrench
(see Figures 5 and 6).
8-7 Rotate motor belt counter-clockwise easing belt off
drive pulley gradually (see Figure 7).
