Hardware Diagnostics Program

Use the Hardware Diagnostics Program to check whether:
the server is operating normally
the optional devices are operating normally

Starting the Hardware Diagnostics Program

To start the Hardware Diagnostics Program from diskette, you need to create the diskette
from the Magnia 510D Software and Documentation CD-ROM.

Place the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of any server or workstation with a DOS,
Windows 95/98 or Windows 2000 operating system.

At the DOS prompt, change the drive letter to that of the CD-ROM and press Enter.

Access the \FIMG folder on the CD-ROM (for example, D:\FMIG) and press Enter.

Insert a formatted diskette in the diskette drive.
At the diskette drive prompt, type fdimg -w hwdiags.img a

Press Enter.

When the process is complete, remove the diskette. Create an identification label
and affix it to the diskette.
To run the Hardware Diagnostics Program:

Shut down the server and turn off the power.

Insert the Hardware Diagnostics Program diskette in the diskette drive. Turn on the
power.
The Hardware Diagnostics Program loads automatically.

Press Enter to start the Hardware Diagnostics Program.
