Oil filter with diverter (option):
Oil filter replacement with the
engine stopped
1.
Stop engine (→ Page 61) and disable en-
gine start.
2.
Unscrew oil filter using oil filter wrench.
3.
Clean sealing surface on connecting piece.
4.
Check condition of new oil filter sealing
ring and moisten it with oil.
5.
Fit SOLAS shield (→ Page 16).
6.
Screw on and tighten new oil filter by hand.
7.
Replace other oil filters in the same way.
8.
Turn engine with starting system after ev-
ery oil change and filter replacement
(→ Page 139).
9.
Check oil level (→ Page 192).
Oil filter with diverter (option):
Oil filter replacement with the
engine running
1.
To cut out the filter to be replaced, set the
three-way cock to the corresponding posi-
tion.
• Position A: Lower filters cut out
• Position B: Both filters cut in (normal op-
erating position)
• Position C: Upper filters cut out.
2.
Unscrew oil filter using oil filter wrench.
3.
Clean sealing surface on connecting piece.
4.
Check condition of new oil filter sealing
ring and moisten it with oil.
5.
Fit SOLAS shield (→ Page 16).
6.
Screw on and tighten new oil filter by hand.
7.
Replace other oil filters in the same way.
8.
Check oil level (→ Page 192).
