Learning about the remote control

The buttons used for operating the TV only are described here. For a complete list of the
remote control's functions, see the remote control functional key chart on pages 27.
turns the TV on and off. Press POWER to turn on the TV. The red indicator on the
POWER
TV will be illuminated. Press POWER again to turn off the TV.
displays TV setting information on-screen (page 75).
RECALL
selects the video input source (page 56).
INPUT
directly tune channels. The "–" button is used to tune digital
Channel Numbers (0–9, –/100)
channels (page 60).
returns to the last viewed channel (page 60).
RTN
provides detailed information on highlighted items in the TV Guide On Screen™
INFO
system (Chapter 7).
accesses the menu system (pages 29 and 30).
MENU
activates highlighted items in the main menu system and the TV Guide On Screen™

system.

EXIT

"TV" to control the TV.
selects the picture mode (page 65).
PIC MODE
reduces or turns off the sound (page 70).
MUTE
cycles through the five pictures sizes: Natural, TheaterWide 1/2/3, and Full
PIC SIZE
(page 61).
accesses the home function of the channel browser feature (page 59)
HOME (

While watching TV, these buttons tune to the previous/next channel in the
