PCI slots 1 and 2 are on PCI bus A and PCI slots 3, 4, and 5 are on PCI bus B.
Note:
The system scans PCI slots 1 through 5 to assign system resources; then, if you
have not changed the boot precedence from the default, the system starts (boots)
the PCI devices in the following order: PCI slots 1 and 2, system board SCSI
devices, and then PCI slots 3 through 5.

To install an adapter:
Attention: When you handle Electrostatic Discharge-Sensitive devices (ESD), take
precautions to avoid damage from static electricity. For details on handling these
devices, refer to the following Web site and use a search term of ESD:

1. Follow the safety precautions listed in "Safety" on page v.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all external cables and
power cords.
3. Remove the cover.
4. Remove the access clip by sliding it upward and then to the right.
PCI bus A is often referred to as bus 0; PCI bus B is often referred to as
bus 1.
To change the boot precedence for PCI devices, start the
Configuration/Setup Utility program, and select Start Options from the
main menu. Refer to the User's Reference on the IBM Netfinity
Documentation CD for details on using the Configuration/Setup Utility
program.
