4.2 Accessing the System
The SC217HQ+-R2K02B features a removable top cover, which allows easy access to the
inside of the chassis.
Removing the Top Cover
1. Remove power from the system as described in Section 4.1.
2. Remove the two screws which secure the top cover onto the chassis as shown above.
3. Lift the top cover up and off the chassis.
4. Peel off the protective film covering the top cover and the top of the chassis
5. Check that all ventilation openings on the top cover and the top of the chassis are clear
and unobstructed.
6. Replace the chassis cover and reconnect the AC power cord.
Caution: Except for short periods of time, do not operate the server without the cover in place.
The chassis cover must be in place to allow for proper airflow and to prevent overheating.
