F4 Footswitch:
The SD5 can exploit two types of optional pedals (FS13 with
thirteen switches and FS6 with six switches) to control many
functions, including those already available for the X series.
F4 Footswitch calls up a page that shows the function assi-
gned to each of the switches.
To modify it, use the D D A A T T A A C C U U R R S S O O R R ( ( U U p p a a n n d d D D o o w w n n ) ) push buttons
to select the pedal switch and the D D A A T T A A C C U U R R S S O O R R ( ( L L e e f f t t a a n n d d

F F 1 1 C C u u t t o o f f f f : : When On, by pressing the function push button F1 again, the after touch controls the opening of the
filter that can make the timbre more brilliant.
F F 2 2 L L F F O O D D C C O O : : When On, the after touch controls the vibrato.
F F 3 3 B B e e n n d d : : The value entered using the D D A A T T A A C C U U R R S S O O R R push buttons indicates the deviation semitones of the into-
nation. By entering a value of –1, additional expressiveness is given to the timbres such as the sax.
F F 4 4 S S l l i i d d e e : : This is an effect associated with the keyboard velocity and consists in a very quick tuning adjustment
of the chord during the sound attack, very similar to that encountered normally in the attack of almost all wind
instruments. The Slide can be used successfully to make the sax, trumpet, clarinet and guitar phrasing more
realistic and expressive.
F F 5 5 A A t t t t a a c c k k : : When On, it enables the modulations controlled by the after touch with a slight delay. If for exam-
ple the after touch is used to create a vibrato, with Attack set On the vibrato works only after a few seconds,
creating a more natural sensation.
F F 6 6 L L F F O O D D C C A A : : When On, the after touch controls the tremolo effect.
F F 7 7 L L F F O O D D C C F F : : When On, the after touch controls the modulation of the LFO on the filter cut-off.
F F 8 8 V V o o l l u u m m e e : : When On, the after touch controls the volume of the timbres of the Right section.
F F 9 9 S S l l i i d d e e T T h h r r : : The value entered using the D D A A T T A A C C U U R R S S O O R R push buttons establishes the velocity beyond which the
Slide affect is triggered. Lower the value less key dynamics is required to activate the Slide.
F F 1 1 0 0 S S e e n n s s i i t t i i v v . . : : The value entered using the D D A A T T A A C C U U R R S S O O R R push buttons establishes the response sensitivity to the
after touch. If modified the control of all the parameters controlled by after touch are also changed.
