Remove the two screws that hold the mounting bracket to the drive, then
lift the front of the mounting bracket and slide it to the rear, disengaging
the retention pins from the diskette drive and removing the bracket.

Set aside the screws and the mounting bracket.

Place the drive in an antistatic protective wrapper if you are not
reinstalling the same drive.

Remove the new 3.5-inch diskette drive from its protective wrapper, and
place it component-side up on an antistatic surface.

Set any jumpers or switches according to the drive manufacturer's
instructions.

Place the drive into the mounting bracket by sliding the back of the drive
into the bracket, then lowering the mounting holes on the front of the
drive onto the two retention pins in the front portion of the bracket.

Attach the bracket to the drive with the two screws you removed
previously, then tighten the screws firmly.
