Wired LAN settings

The settings to connect to computers using the wired LAN are as follows.

Set each item in the main menu → [NETWORK SETUP] → [LAN PROPERTY] as necessary.
[DHCP] and [DHCP SERVER] are mutually exclusive.
[MAC ADDRESS]: MAC address of wired LAN (cannot be changed)
[DHCP]: Setting whether to use automatic acquisition via DHCP ([ENABLE]: Use automatic acquisition/[DISABLE]: Does not use automatic
acquisition (Factory setting: [ENABLE])
[IP ADDRESS]: IP address (Factory setting: [192.168.0.1])
[SUBNET MASK]: Subnet mask (Factory setting: [255.255.255.0])
[DEFAULT GATEWAY]: Default gateway (Factory setting: [192.168.0.254])
[PRIMARY DNS]: Primary DNS server setting (Factory setting: [0.0.0.0])
[SECONDARY DNS]: Secondary DNS server setting (Factory setting: [0.0.0.0])
[DHCP SERVER]: Setting whether to use the DHCP SERVER function ([ENABLE]: Uses the DHCP SERVER function/[DISABLE]: Does not use
the DHCP SERVER function) (Factory setting: [DISABLE])

Select [LAN] in the main menu → [NETWORK SETUP] → [NETWORK SEL].

Configure the settings of wired LAN of your computer.
(For Windows)
Display [Properties] in [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)] and configure the settings. For details on how to display the screen, refer to [Start] →
[Help and Support].
f When [DHCP SERVER] is set to [ENABLE] on the camera
Select [Obtain an IP address automatically] and [Obtain DNS server address automatically] in the [General] tab. Select [Automatic private IP
address] in the [Alternate Configuration] tab.
f When [DHCP SERVER] is set to [DISABLE] on the camera
Select [Use the following IP address] in the [General] tab.
- [IP address]: Enter the same address as that of the camera.
- [Subnet mask]: Enter the same value as that of the camera.
- [Default gateway]: Enter the same address as that of the camera.
- [Preferred DNS server]/[Alternate DNS server]: Not necessarily to be entered.
(For Mac OS)
f When [DHCP SERVER] is set to [ENABLE] on the camera
[Configure IPv4]: Select [Using DHCP].
[Configure IPv6]: Select [Automatically].
f When [DHCP SERVER] is set to [DISABLE] on the camera
[Configure IPv4]: Select [Manually] and enter the following items.
- [IP Address]
- [Subnet Mask]
- Entering [Router] is not required. Leave it blank.
[Configure IPv6]: Select [Automatically].

NOTE
t The startup time after turning on the power may be longer due to starting of the network.
t When you change the settings of [NETWORK SEL], the changes will not be reflected until the camera is restarted. After the settings have been
changed, the setting screen termination may take time due to the restart of the network service.
t All of the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway must be correctly set.
If the warning [CANNOT ACCESS GATEWAY!] appears after the setting screen is closed, contact the administrator of the network in use.
t If you do not use default gateway and DNS, set them to [0.0.0.0].
t DHCP and DNS may not function properly depending on the network environment.
