6. Cleaning and maintenance

6.1 Safety advice

o Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been
disconnected from power socket (pull the power plug!) and has cooled down.
o Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device.
o To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables
and the plug in water or other liquids.
CAUTION!
The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must
not use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!

6.2 Cleaning and removing scale

Cleaning the device
o Clean the device after each use.
o Clean external surfaces with a wet and soft cloth with mild detergent.
o Clean the interior of water tank with a mild detergent and rinse with clean water.
o Next, clean the emptying tap by letting water through.
o Use soft cloth only and make sure you never use any kind of abrasive agents or
pads, which could scratch the surface.
o After the cleaning procedure you should use a soft and dry cloth to wipe dry and
polish the surface.
Removing scale
o Inappropriate water quality may cause building up of scale. Build up of scale extends
heating time and can lead to damage of the device.
CAUTION!
No claim shall be approved in case scale has not been regularly removed, in line
with the description included in the device manual.
Our guarantee does not cover this type of claim!
Please, do remove scale from the device!
o Fill the water tank with clean water, add vinegar or a suitable agent and boil the
solution.
o Open emptying tap to let some of the solution pass through, to remove the scale
inside.
o Boil the remaining solution 1 or 2 times more.
