Research has shown that the likelihood of an accessory child safety harness being used incorrectly is very high and the risk of injuries when incorrectly used is much higher compared to a lap-sash seat belt. USING LAP-SASH SEAT BELT The shoulder strap passes diagonally across the child’s chest and depending on your child’s height passes either between the side wings (C) and (D) for a smaller child (Refer Fig 3) or above wing (D) Fig 4 for a larger child.
