Switching the main beams on/off
manually
If the main beams are not switched on or if
the headlights are not dipped as expected,
you can control the dip function manually:
... To switch on the main beams manually,
push the lever to position

will light up. To dip the headlights
again, pull the lever to position @ .
... To d ip the headlights manually, pu ll the lev-
er to position @ .
Flashing the headlights
... Pull the lever to position @ to flash the
headlights when the adaptive headlight
range control is activated. The adaptive
headlight range control remains activated.
Do not affix any stickers to the windscreen in
the vicinity of the camera.

Main beam assist: system fault!
Drive to a qualified workshop soon and have
the fault rect ified. You can st ill swit ch the
main beam headlights on and off manually.

No ca mera view
The camera vision is impaired, e.g. by stickers
or di rt .
The sensor is located between t he interior
mirror a nd the windscreen. Do not affix any
stickers on this section of the windscreen .

WARNING
The adaptive headlig ht range control is o n-
ly intended to assist the driver. The driver
m ust always ensure that the headlights
are used when required, and may have t o
switch t hem on or off manually, e.g . when
the light conditions or visibility are poor.
In the following situations manual inter-
vention may be necessary:
- Hazardous weather cond itions such as
fog, heavy rain and snow or water
splashes.
- Roads on which oncom ing traffic is parti-
ally concea led (e.g . on motorways).
- Indiscernible road users (e .g. cyclists
with poor lighting)
- Tight corners, steep hill crests or valleys
- Poorly lit towns
- Highly reflective objects, such as road
signs
- Wi ndscreen misted up, dirt y, frosted or
covered by stickers in front of the sensor
@ Note
The range of the headlight beams will be
adjusted automatica lly when traffic in
front is detected on either side of the road.
This prevents yo u from dazzling other road
users .

Automatic headlights
The following settings are ava ilable in the Au-
tomatic headlights menu:
Activation time - You can determine how soon
t he lig hts are switched on by using the set-
tings early, medium or late to adjust the sen-
s itivity of the light sensor.
Main beam a ssist* - You can switch the main
beam assist* or adaptive headlight ra n ge con-
trol* on and off. .,._
