Maintenance

To prevent a possible electrical shock or personal injury:
Clean the case with a damp cloth and weak detergent. Do not use a solvent or cleaners
with abrasives.
Dirt or moisture in the terminals can cause incorrect measurements. To clean the
terminals:
1. Turn off the Product and remove all test leads.
2. Shake out dirt that can possibly be in the terminals.
3. Soak a clean swab with weak detergent and water.
4. Move the swab around in each terminal.
5. Dry each terminal with canned air to push the water and detergent out of the

leads and all input signals before you replace the batteries or
fuses. To prevent damage or injury, install only specified
replacement parts shown in Table 5.
To prevent possible electrical shock, fire, or personal injury:

Do not operate the Product with covers removed or the case
open. Hazardous voltage exposure is possible.
Use only specified replacement parts.

Be sure that the battery polarity is correct to prevent battery
leakage.
Batteries contain hazardous chemicals that can cause burns or
explode. If exposure to chemicals occurs, clean with water and
get medical aid.
