15. ANIMATION WHEEL

The Power Spot 700CMY II is equipped with an animation wheel that can simulate effects
such as running water, fire, clouds, and others. The unit ships with the fire effect wheel
already installed. Four optional wheels are included in the accessory pack. Follow the
procedures outlined below for proper effects wheel exchange:
15.1 Safety considerations:
• Always disconnect main power before attempting any type of service procedure.
• If the fixture has been recently in operation, please allow 15 minutes for the
internal components to cool before attempting service.
• During service never touch the lamp with bare fingers as this can damage the
lamp and reduce lamp life.
• To prevent personal injury from UV radiation, always be sure the cover is
replaced before operating the fixture.
15.2 Accessing the Animation Wheel:
15.2.1 Please lock the head in a vertical position for easier access.
15.2.2 Remove the upper shell of the head casing by loosening the four quick-
release retaining fasteners. Two on the front side and two on the
backside of the head. Hang out the head safety. It will not be necessary
to remove the effects module to exchange the animation wheel.
15.2.3 Once the cover has been removed located and unscrew the thumbscrew
