Getting Started

Turning On the Power

This machine has two power switches.
Operation switch (right front side of the exposure glass)
Press to activate the machine. Once the machine has warmed up, you can
make copies.

Main power switch (left side of the machine)
When the machine will not be used for an extended period of time, turn off
the main power switch.
Note
This machine automatically goes into Low Power mode, or turns itself off if
you do not use it for a specified period of time. See p.66 "Auto Off Timer" and
p.66 "Energy Saver Timer".

Turning On the Main Power

Make sure the power cord is firmly plugged into the wall outlet.

Turn on the main power switch.
Make sure that the main powr indicator lights up.
Important
Do not turn off the main power immediately after switching it on. Doing
so may result in damage to the hard disk or memory, leading to malfunc-
tion.
