4.2 Configuring FRITZ!Box Fon for
Internet Telephony and Calls on Fixed
Lines
This chapter describes how to set up FRITZ!Box Fon for tele-
phone connections over the Internet and for calls using the
fixed-line network. For this setup, perform the following
steps:
Enter account information and Internet number for In-
ternet telephony
Enter numbers for calls over fixed lines
Assign Internet and fixed-line numbers to the connect-
ed terminal devices (the extensions "FON1" and
"FON2" on FRITZ!Box Fon)
Define dialing rules for Internet telephony and calls on
fixed lines
Entering Account Information and Internet
Number for Internet Telephony
If you have configured an Internet connection and already
entered your information for Internet telephony, the follow-
ing steps are only required if you would like to set up a
second Internet number.
1.
Open the FRITZ!Box Fon user interface.
2.
Select "Telephony / Internet Telephony" in the menu.
Click the "New Internet Number" button to configure a
new account.
3.
Enable the option "Use Internet number" and enter the
Internet number and account information you received
from your Internet telephony provider.
4.
Click the "Apply" button.
