oven—top, b ottom, sides, back and
insideof the door—willstaynew-
lookingfor years.
Let ovencool beforecleaning.We
recommendthat youwear rubber
gloveswhen cleaningthe oven.
Soapand water will norinallydo
thejob. Heavy spatteringor
spilloversmay requirecleaning
with a mild abrasivecleanser.
Soapy, wet metal pads may also be
used. Do not allowfood spillswith
a high sugar or acid content (such
as milk, tomatoes,sauerkraut, fruit
juices or pie filling)to remain on
the surface. They may cause a dull
spot even after cleaning.
Household ammoniamay make the
cleaningjob easier. Place 1/2cup
in a shallowglass or pottery
container in a cold ovenovernight.
The ammonia fumes will help
loosen the burned-on grease and
food.
If necessary, you may use a caustic
cleaner. Followpackagedirections.
