Knob
The ovencontrol knob maybe
removedfor ckxming.
Toremoveknob, pull it straight
off the stem. If knob is difficultto
remove,place a thin cloth (likea
handkerchief or a piece of string
under and aroundthe knob edge
and pull up.
Washknobs in soap and waterbut
do not soak.
The lightbulb is located in the rear
wallof each oven. Beforereplacing
the bulb,disconnectelectric power
to the rangeat the main fuse or
circuitbreaker panel or unplugthe
rangefrom the electric outlet. Let
the bulbcool completelybefore
removingit. Do not touch a hot
bulb with a damp cloth, If you
do, the bulb will break.
Use the time givenon a recipe
whencookingthe first time. Oven
thermostats,in time, may "drift"
from the factorysettingand
differencesin timingbetweentin
old and a new ovenof 5 to 10
minutesare not unusual. If youfind
that your foodsconsistentlybrown
too littleor too much, youmay
makea simple adjustmentin the
thermostat(OVENCONTROL)
knob.

P@ the knob off the shaft, look
at the back of the knob and note
the current setting beforemaking
any adjustment. The knob is
factoryset with the top !M.m!w
directlyunder the pointer.
To remove:
To replace knob, locate the groove
in each side of the knob stem. One
of the groovescontainsa springclip
~ Removethe 3 screws in the lamp
cover.
and the other grooveis clear. Locate
the molded rib insidethe knob. Fit
@ Detach lamp cover ring, crystal
and gasketand removebulb.
the molded rib of the knob intothe
clear grooveon the knob stem.
To replace:
@ Put in a new 40-wattappliance
bulb. (Note: A 40-watt appliance
bulb is smaller than a standard
40-watthousehold bulb.)
@ Installlamp cover. Replace 3
screwsand tighten, making sure
cover fits flush with oven wall.
To adjust the thermostat:
1. Pull off the knob.
@ Reconnectelectrical power to
the range.
2. Loosen both screws on back
of the knob.
3. Hold both parts of the knob
and turn so the top screw movesin
the desired direction. HOTTER to
increase temperature, COOLER to
decrease temperature. Youwill
hear and feel the notches as you
turn the knob. Each notch changes
temperature about 15°.
4. Tighten the screws.
5. Return the knob to the range.
Recheck oven performance before
making an additional adjustment.
