Using Wireless LAN
Connection
Connecting an optional IFU-WLM3 USB
Wireless LAN Module to this camcorder allows a
wireless LAN connection between a computer
and the camcorder.
Making a wireless LAN connection between a
computer and the camcorder enables you to do the
following.
• You can transfer planning metadata and other
files between a computer and this camcorder.
• You can also use the Live Logging function to
add shot marks to the video currently being
shot.
Note
Check the firmware version of your camcorder to make
sure that the camcorder supports the wireless LAN
connection.
For details, contact a Sony sales or service
representative.

Connecting the IFU-WLM3

Open the cover of the external device connector,
then connect the IFU-WLM3.
Notes
• The IFU-WLM3 USB Wireless LAN Module (sold
separately) may not be available in some countries/
regions.
• Attach/remove the IFU-WLM3 after the camcorder is
turned off.
• An i.LINK connection and USB wireless LAN module
cannot be used at the same time.
When using a wireless connection with an IFU-
WLM3 inserted directly into the external device
connector, do not connect a device to the i.LINK
connector.
• If you use a wireless device near the camcorder, the
camcorder may not work correctly. Turn any wireless
devices off that are near the camcorder.
Making a Wireless LAN

make connections between a computer and
multiple camcorders via a wireless LAN access
point (building a LAN).
