Table 4-1 Remote Node Profile Menu Fields

Description
This is a required field ([?]). Enter a descriptive name for the
remote node, for example, Corp. This field can be up to eight
characters. This name must be unique from any other remote
node name.
Press the spacebar to toggle between Yes and No. Inactive
nodes are displayed with a minus sign (-) at the beginning of
the name in Menu 11.
PPP refers to RFC 2364, "PPP Encapsulation over ATM
Adaptation Layer 5". If RFC 1483 ("Multiprotocol
Encapsulation over ATM Adaptation Layer 5") is selected,
then the Rem Login, Rem Password, My Login, My
Password, Edit PPP Options and Authen fields will not be
applicable (N/A).
Press the spacebar to the select the multiplexing method.
Enter the login name that this remote node will use when it
calls your Prestige.
The login name in this field combined with the Rem Node
Password will be used to authenticate this node.
Enter the password used when this remote node calls your
Prestige.
Enter the login name for your Prestige when it calls this
remote node.
Enter the password for your Prestige when it calls this remote
node.
This field sets the authentication protocol used for outgoing
calls.
Options for this field are:
CHAP/PAP - Your Prestige will accept either CHAP or
PAP when requested by this remote node.
CHAP - accept CHAP only.
PAP - accept PAP only.
