The rear suspension spring preload is
adjustable to compensate for rider, load,
riding style and road conditions, You can
select from five preload positions, Before
changing the spring preload
setting,
place
the motorcycle on the side stand. To soften
the spring preload
,
turn the
spring
preload
adjuster
ring
hidden in the lower cover coun­
terclockwise with a screwdriver or rod put­
tingin the hole on the
ring.
To stiffen, turn it
clockwise. Turn the adjuster ring counter­
clockwise fully to position 1, then count the
detent from position 1 to position 5 to get
the
desired position. Position 1 provides
the
softest
spring tension and position 5 pro­
vides the stiffest. This motorcycle is
deliv­
ered
from the factory with its adjusters
set
on position
2.
