To open the fuel tank
cap,
insert the ignition
key and turn it clockwise. With the key
inserted,
remove the cap
.
To close the fuel
tank cap, simply line up the fuel tank cap
guide pins and push down until the locking
pin
s
click into position
.
The key must be in
the cap before installing the cap. Turn the
key counterclockwise and remove it from
the cap.
Overfilling the fuel tank can cause the fuel to
overflow when it expands due to heat from the
engine or the sun. Spilled fuel can catch on fire.
Never fill the fuel above the bottom of the filler
neck.

Fuel and fuel vapor are highly flammable and
toxic. You can
be
burned or poisoned when
refueling.
• Stop the engine and keep
flames,
sparks and
heat sources
away.
• Refuel only outdoors or in a well ventilated
area.
• Do not smoke.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
• Avoid breathing fuel vapor.
• Keep children and pets away.

(RESERVE) POSITION
If the fuel level in the tank is too low, turn the
lever to the
"RES"
position to use the 3.0 L
(0.8/0.7
USl
lmp gal) of reserve fuel
supply.
NOTE: After turning the fuel valve lever to
the "RES" position, refill the tank at the clos­
est gasoline station. After
refueling,
be sure
to
turn the fuel valve back to the
"ON"
posi­
tion.
