SIDE STAND

This motorcycle is equipped with a side
stand to support the motorcycle when park­
ing. An interlock switch is provided to cut off
the ignition circuit when the side stand is
down and the transmission is in any gear
other than neutral.

Hiding with the side stand incompletely

• Check operation of the side standlignition
nterlock system before riding.
• Always retract the side stand completely
before starting off.
CAUTION
Park the motorcycle on firm, level ground to
help prevent it from falling over.
If you must park on an inclined ground. aim the
front of the motorcycle toward uphill and put the
transmission into 1st gear to reduce the possi·
bility of rOiling off the side stand.

Riding with a helmet fastened to either helmet
holder can interfere with rider control.
Never carry a helmet fastened to a helmet
holder. Fix the helmet securely atop the seat if
you must carry it.
