About Dirty Video Heads and HDV Standard Recordings .
During the playback of recordings made in the HDV standard you may notice frequent brief stops in the
picture or sound. This is usually caused by dirt particles accumulating and attaching to the video heads. In
such case try the following actions:
• Clean the video heads with a cleaning tape.
• Make sure to use videocassettes recommended for HDV recording. (Canon Digital Videocassette
HDVM-E63PR, etc.)
Refer also to the Video Heads section of the Maintenance/Others chapter in the camcorder's instruction manual.
If the problem persists even after taking these steps, the cause may be a malfunction. Consult a Canon
Service Center.

Pendant la Jecture d'enregistrements realises au standard HDV, vous pouvez noter de breves mais
frequentes interruptions de I'image ou duson. C'est cause habituellement par des particules de poussieres
accumulees et attachees aux tetes video. Dans ce cas, essayez une des actions suivantes :
• Nettoyezles tetes video avec une cassette de nettoyage.
• Assurez-vous d'utiliser des' cassettes video recommandees pour I'enregistrement HDV.

la section Tetes video du chapitre Maintenance/Divers dans Ie manuel d'instruction du camescope.
Si Ie probleme persiste meme apres avoir suivi ces mesures, la cause peut etre un mauvais
fonctionnement. Consultez un centre de service apres vente Canon.

Verschmutzte Videokopfe und HDV-Standardaufnahmen
Vielleicht stellen Sie wahrend der Wiedergabe von Aufnahmen, die im HDV-Standard gemacht wurden, kleine
Unterbrechungen des Bildes oder des Tons fest. Die Ursache dafOr sind meistens Schmutzpartikel, die sich
angesammelt und an den Videokopfen festgesetzt haben. Versuchen Sie in einem solchen Fall Foigendes:
• Reinigen Sie die Videokopfe mit einerReinigungskassette.
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die verwendeten Videokassetten fur HDV-Aufnahmen geeignet sind.
