MENU Options
• With the digital zoom the image is
digitally processed, so the image
resolution will deteriorate the more you
zoom in.
• The digital zoom indicator will appear in
light blue from 10x up to 40x and dark
blue from 40x up to 200x.
• The digital zoom cannot be used with
the
[rJ
NIGHT] recording program (seN).
• A still image cannot be simultaneously
recorded on the memory card while
recording movies using the digital zoom.

Select how fast the autofocus will
operate.
• With
[ocm
INSTANT AF] the autofocus
adjusts quickly to a new subject. This is
convenient for example when changing
the focus from a near subject to a far
subject in the background, or when
recording fast moving subjects.
• Set the AF mode to [[8fJ NORMAL AF]
when you attach the optional Wide-
converter or Tele-converter to the
camcorder.

speed depends on how you operate the
zoom lever: Press lightly for a slow zoom;
press harder for faster zooms.
• The fastest zoom speed can be

the fixed zoom speeds,

the fastest and [ . SPEED 1] the
slowest.

The camcorder automatically uses slow
shutter speeds to obtain brighter
recordings in places with insufficient
lighting.
• The camcorder uses shutter speeds
down to 1/30 (1/15 in I<CAMERA-wII mode).
• ICAMERA\C]I : Set the flash mode to

(flash off).
• If a trailing afterimage appears, set the
slow shutter to
[ml
OFF].

appears, we recommend stabilizing the
camcorder, for example, by mounting it
on a tripod.

• When activated, the camcorder will
