Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) System Operation
The Keyless Access system allows
for vehicle entry when the
transmitter is within 1 m (3 ft). See
Keyless Access Operation later in
this section.
The RKE transmitter functions may
work up to 60 m (197 ft) away from
the vehicle.
Other conditions can affect the
performance of the transmitter. See

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

System on page 2-2.
With Convertible Top Shown,
Without Similar
(Lock): Press to lock all doors.
The indicator lamp indicators may
flash and/or the horn may sound to
indicate locking. Press twice within
five seconds for deadbolt locking.
See Remote Lock, Unlock, Start
under Vehicle Personalisation on
page 5-42.
If the driver door is open when
pressed and Unlocked Door
Anti-Lockout is enabled through the
vehicle personalisation, all doors will
lock and then the driver door will
Keys, Doors, and Windows
immediately unlock. See Unlocked
Door Anti-Lockout under Vehicle
Personalisation on page 5-42. If the
passenger door is open when
pressed, both doors lock.
Pressing
may also arm the
theft-deterrent system. See Vehicle
Alarm System on page 2-13.
When the doors are locked, the fuel
door is also locked.
(Unlock): Press to unlock the
driver door and deadbolt. Press
again within five seconds to unlock
both doors. When remotely
unlocking the vehicle at night, the
headlights and reversing lamps will
come on for about 30 seconds to
light your approach to the vehicle
and when the door is open. The
indicators may flash to indicate
unlocking. Memory seat positions
may be recalled when unlocking the
is
