Replacing a 3.5-inch drive in the top drive
bay
Above the 3.5-inch diskette drive, there is a single bay for an internal
3.5-inch hard drive. This drive can be either IDE or SCSI.
To replace the 3.5-inch drive in the top drive bay
Turn off the system and disconnect the power cord.

Open the case (see page 3 for instructions), observing the static

electricity precautions on page 2.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the drive in the top drive
3.
bay.
Remove the two screws that secure the right side of the drive to the
4.
chassis and the two screws that secure the bracket to the left side of the
5.25-inch drive cage (see Figure 19).
