12.1. User's responsibility
This instrument is intended for recreational use only. Suunto D9i must not be used for
obtaining measurements that require professional or industrial precision.
12.2. CE
The CE mark is used to mark conformity with the European Union EMC directive
89/336/EEC and Personal Protective Equipment directive 89/686/EEC. Suunto dive
instruments fulfill all the required EU directives
FIOH, Topeliuksenkatu 41 a A, FI-00250 Helsinki, Finland, notified body no.0430, has
EC type-examined this type of personal protective equipment.
EN 250 Respiratory equipment - Open circuit self-contained compressed air diving
apparatus – Requirements, testing, marking.
The cylinder pressure gauge, and the parts of this product used in measuring the
cylinder pressure, meet the requirements set in the section of the European Standard
EN 250 that concern cylinder pressure measurements. The instruments must be ser-
viced by an authorized Suunto representative every second year or after 200 dives
(whichever comes first).
EN 13319 "Diving accessories – Depth gauges and combined depth and time meas-
uring devices – Functional and safety requirements, test methods" is a European
diving depth gauge standard. The Suunto D9i is designed to comply with this standard.
