The Standard Memory of the FT-991 allows storage and recall of up to 99 memories, each storing frequency, mode,
and a wide variety of status information, detailed previously. Memories may be grouped into as many as six Memory
Groups. Additionally there are nine pairs of band-limit (PMS) memories along with five QMB (Quick Memory Bank)
memories.

Memory Storage

1. Set VFO-A up with the frequency, mode, and status,
the way you want to have it stored.
2. Press the A
M button momentarily; the current
channel number will appear in the display and the
"MCK" notation will appear.
3. Rotate the MULTI knob to select the memory chan-
nel that you wish to store the data on.
4. Press and hold in the A
store the frequency and other data into the selected
memory channel. A double beep will sound to con-
firm that the operation is completed.

Memory Channel Recall

1. Press the V/M button, if necessary, to enter the
"Memory mode".
2. Press the F(M-LIST) button, then touch [ MCH ] on
the LCD. A memory channel number and the "MCH"
notation will appear in the display.
3. Touch [ MCH ] on the LCD, and then rotate the
MULTI knob to select the desired memory channel.

To work within a particular Memory Group, press the
F(M-LIST) button, then touch [ GRP ] on the LCD.
Rotate the MULTI knob to select the desired Memory
Group, then touch [ MCH ] on the LCD (the "MCH"
notation will appear instead of the "GRP"); Now the
memory channel may be chosen from within the select-
ed Memory Group.
