` to use intelligent video analysis (va)
1. Select an Intelligent Video Analysis
mode.
2. Set <iv analysis function> to
<enable>.
3. Select a type.
• Line/Area/Tampering(Scene Change) :
An event will be tripped if an object
passes through the line, area or full
screen that you specified or if there
occurs an entering/exiting or scene
change.
• Appearing/Disappearing : An event
will be tripped if an object appears
or disappears in the line, area or full
screen that you specified.
4. Specify the event rules.
• Minimum Object Size : Set the
minimum size of object for video
recognition.
• Maximum Object Size : Set the
maximum size of object for video
recognition.
• Virtual line based rules : Analyze the
video based on the virtual line.
• Defined area based rules : Analyze the video based on the defined area.
• Entire area based rules : Analyze the video on the entire area.
5. Select the detection sensitivity of a moving object.
Set to a lower sensitivity in environments that allow clear distinguishing of objects from background.

Set to a higher sensitivity otherwise, such as in a dark place.
6. Set whether you want to use the overlay or not.
- If you set it to <enable>, the event rules will be shown on the screen.
7. Select whether to mark the corresponding region on motion detection.
- Select <on> to mark a box on the detected moving object on the screen. Objects
are marked in colors, as green for non-event objects, red for line/area event ob-
jects, and blue for appearing/disappearing event objects.
