Recording from
a Tape
in the Camcorder
You can record movies from a tape in the camcorder on a memory card.
PLAY (VCR)
1. Set the camcorder to PLAY (VCR) mode.
2. Play back the tape.
3. Press the start/stop button when the scene you wish to record appears.
You can record up to 10 seconds in 320 x 240 and up to 30 seconds in 160 x 120.
4. Press the start/stop to stop recording.
0 A movie recorded from an image in 16:9 format will be vertically compressed.

0 The data code of the movie will reflect the date and time it has been recorded
on the memory card.

Devices
You can record movies from devices connected via the $-video terminal or AV terminal
(analog line-in function), or via the DV terminal on a memory card.

1. Connect the camcorder to the video device.

2. Set the camcorder to PLAY (VCR) mode.
If a cassette is loaded, make sure the tape is stopped.
3. Connected device: Load a recorded cassette and play back the tape.
4. Press the start/stop button when the scene you wish to record appears.
You can record up to 10 seconds in 320 x 240 and up to 30 seconds in 160 x 120.
5. Press the start/stop button to stop recording.
