Approved Vent Configurations

Restrictor Position

• A vent and intake restrictor is built into the appliance to adjust the flow rate of exhaust gases.
Depending upon the vent configuration, you may be required to adjust the restrictor position. The
charts for acceptable vent configurations detail the correct vent restrictor position.
TO CHANGE THE RESTRICTOR (both intake & vent restrictor must be set to the correct position):
1) Remove the baffle
2) Remove the two screws holding the vent restrictor plate.
3) Move the vent restrictor plate so the correct hole lines up with the holes in the back of the firebox.
4) Replace the two screws. Replace the baffle.
5) Remove the two screws holding the intake restrictor plate.
6) Move the intake restrictor plate so the correct hole lines up with the holes in the back of the firebox.
7) Replace the two screws.
