Right after you turrr on the car heater In cold weather, dew
or condensation may form on the lens in the disc player of
the unit. Called lens fogging, drscs may be rmpossrble to
play. In such a s&ration, remove the disc and wart for the
conderlsstron to evaporate. If .the unrt still does not operate
normally after a whtlst, consult your Kenwood dealer.
*The reflectrve film on a CD-R or a CD-HW IS more fragrle
than that on an ordinary music CD, and may peel off if
scratched. Frngerpnnts on a CD-K or CD-RW are aiso
more IMy
to cause skipprng when the disc IS played.
For these reasons, handle the disc very carefully.

If a disc has become dirty, wrpe ii off gently using a

startrng from the centre of the drsc and moving outward. Do
not clean discs with conventional record cleaners, ant+
statrc formulas, or chemicals such as paint thrnner or
benzene.

When playing a new disc for the first time, check that there
are not any burrs stuck to the penmeter of the disc or In the
central hole. discs with burrs stuck on them may not load
properly or may skrp whilst playing. Remove burrs usrng a
ballpornt pen or a srmilar utensil.
