Annex A - Troubleshooting

A.1 Checking the assignment of an IP address
In Windows Vista, XP, 2000 and ME
Click button Start, select Execute, enter cmd and then click OK; the command prompt
screen appears. Enter ipconfig and then confirm by pressing Enter.
Check that the entry IP Address contains a value other than 0.0.0.0 (192.168.1.10 for
example).
If no address is displayed on the screen, enter ipconfig /release
followed by ipconfig /renew.

and 2000) can be slightly different.
To help locate the fault, the user has the following sources:
