Preparation

HDD: If you want to copy recorded titles in High Speed Mode at a later point in time,
set the setting [Rec for High Speed Copy] in the menu [Setup] - [Disc] -
[Settings for Recording] to [On].
DVD: Insert a disc.
If you activated the write protection, cancel it.
Use DRIVE SELECT to select the DVD or HDD drive.
REC

Record

Press
REC to start a recording.
After the recording is complete, it takes some time for the unit to process the unit
control information.
PAUSE

Pause the recording

Press PAUSE
Press PAUSE
The title is not divided.
HDD/DVD Recording of TV programmes
Select the station with CH
Select the recording mode with REC MODE.
Switch between SP, LP, EP and XP with each push of the button.
Press REC to start the recording.
Select STOP
If you resume recording, a new title will be created.
Press REC again to resume recording.
You can only change the channel or recording mode in the PAUSE mode.
The material is then recorded as a separate title.
HDD RAM
With AUDIO, you can switch the incoming audio channel during the
recording. It has no effect on the recorded audio channel.
REC MODE

Changing the recording mode

Press REC MODE in PAUSE or STOP mode.
Switch between SP, LP, EP and XP each time the button is pressed.
The material is recorded as a separate title with each switch.
RAM
With the [EP mode ( 8Hours )] setting, playback on DVD-RAM compatible
DVD players may not be possible.
Select [EP mode ( 6Hours )].

During the recording, you can start the playback from the beginning of the
programme.
