About Transmitters (Remotes)

A resident may use a Passport radio frequency transmitter (remote) to enter a controlled area. When
pressed, the transmitter sends a signal to the EL25. It reads this data and determines the validity of
the code. If the code is valid, the EL25 will activate the device(s) connected to it, for example,
opening a parking lot gate or other controlled vehicle entryways.
Before adding or modifying transmitters, answer the following questions:
Do you know the transmitter's codes? Each transmitter will have a transmitter number, facility code,
sequence code, and ID code. These codes can be found on the label located on the back of the transmitter
(refer to next page illustration).
Which transmitter button(s) will you activate? Transmitter types will vary. A transmitter has up to 4
buttons, any of which you may assign to one door (gate).
Which schedules will the transmitter use at each door? You may assign a schedule to each door that a
transmitter is assigned to.
Will you activate or deactivate the transmitter at a certain day and time? You may assign a transmitter to
a resident and delay its use until a day and time you specify. Also you can deactivate the transmitter on a
specified day and time.
