Check the steering stem bearings by grabbing the
fork legs and attempti ng to move the front fork for-
ward to backward.
If the handlebar moves unevenly, binds, or has ver-
tical movement, inspect the steering head bearings
(page 14-48).
If
excessive
play has detected, check the steering
stem fo r cracks.
