Operating Procedures

Panel Lights

The eight lights across the bottom of the operator panel indicate specific
operating conditions. Table 2.2 describes the lights and the conditions
they represent.

The procedures used to perform online operations are described in the
following section.
Warning: Electrostatic Sensitive Devices
Avoid generating static electricity. Static can ignite ink, replenisher, or vapor.
Strictly follow all grounding instructions.

Operating Condition
Flashes when replenisher is low.
Flashes when ink is low.
Flashes for an inkjet or printhead error;
remains lit for other standard printer
errors. (Errors are listed in the Service
Guide or the controller software
manual.)
Lights up when data is available for
printing.
Lights up each time a tach pulse is
received.
Lights up each time the cue changes
state. Cue signals cannot be received
without tach pulses.
Lights when the printer has electrical
power connected.
Flashes when the external waste tank is
full. (All other solvent errors are listed in
the Service Guide or the controller
software manual.)
