There are three methods of connecting from a management console to a managed server within the Intel Server
Management Suite. The consoles supported by these type of connections are:

Direct Connect Serial Port/EMP.
•
Serial connection through a modem or telephone line and EMP.
•
LAN connection through the server board NIC.
